Here at Taco House our passion for Mexican food and culture runs deep in our blood and in our hearts

 

Our story began long before Taco House opened its doors here in New Brunswick, NJ. Nearly forty years ago and 2,500 miles away in Oaxaca ~ Mexico. Mrs. Vasquez, inspired by her love for cooking, opened a Fonda (small Mexican restaurant), Her Fonda became quite a success and Mrs. Vasquez then passed on her love and knowledge for cooking with her daughter Lorena.​

One generation and THOUSANDS of tacos later, Lorena built upon her mother's dream by opening a restaurant of her own. On May 05, 2017 Taco House opened at its current location in New Brunswick, using many of the same family recipes.
